Activa mask thermal massage: a new innovative treatment of "Drye eye" disease and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

In this first series we evaluated the efficacy of Activa mask in treating dry eye disease with obstructive meibomian gland dysfunction. Patients checked with IDRA immediately before treatment with Activa mask have been evaluated again 20 minutes after the procedure. Patient comfort with Activa during the treatment was very high, NIBUT, LLT and Meibography showed significant improvement as well as for subjective feeling and symptoms at the end of the session. The Activa mask seems to be a promising alternative and effective choice to successfully treat obstructive meibomian gland dysfunction very easy and in a comfortable way.
